Melted Magic

Updated: Sep 24, 2020

Do you ever pick up broken crayons and wonder if there is a better place for them than the trash? There is!! Save them all... and when you get enough, magically turn them into new crayons.

First, soak them in water to make it easier to peel off the labels.

Then grab your favorite silicone molds. Hearts! Ginger Boys! Sharks!

Sort by color and start filling up the molds.

Set your oven to 150° or the lowest possible setting.

Place the molds inside until the wax melts. (Depending on the mold, it will take around 30 minutes.)

Remove them from the oven and let them cool for a hour. Ta-dah!

Now you have brand new crayons – way cooler than the originals!

They will come out better than you ever expected. Believe me.

They make great party favors, goodie bag stuffers for preschool friends, and fun additions to the art drawer. Enjoy!
