A few years ago we had a couple of organic carrots for Halloween. Super simple, fun & recyclable do-it-yourself costumes. First, we needed orange clothing.
Yes, we did need to purchase some items... but we were able to reuse all of them later and basically wore these items (not all together) until the kids grew out of them. Besides that, it really only took some green and orange skin friendly paint, and patience in the morning :)...
and voilá! Two homegrown organic carrots.
We even met a fennel plant at school!
